Job Title:                               District Coordinator

Working Area:                      District Badin, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad/Nawab Shah, Sanghar and Jacobabad.  

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters or equivalent degree, with a minimum of three years’ experience preferably at mid-level management with national and international organizations, age less than 40 years.

 

  1. Position Overview:

District Coordinators will report to TRDP Head office, and will be responsible for overall project management including working with community organizations/groups, coordinating with district administration and relevant departments and compiling reports for submission to TRDP Head office. The District Coordinators will lead a diversified district team including engineers, social mobilizers and monitoring persons based in each of the districts.

 

  1. Key Responsibilities

Program Management:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs in the assigned district.
  • Develop and maintain project work plans, budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to donor requirements and organizational goals.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of resources and materials to maximize project impact.

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and government authorities to facilitate project acceptance and collaboration.
  • Organize community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns to foster community participation and ownership of projects

Capacity Building:

  • Identify training needs among project staff and community members and coordinate capacity-building activities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Provide guidance and support to field staff to ensure the successful execution of project activities

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Collect and compile project data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to donors, government authorities, and TRDP's management.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, case studies, and success stories to showcase the impact of TRDP's interventions

Financial Management:

  • Monitor project expenditures, maintain financial records, and work closely with the finance team to ensure adherence to budgets and financial reporting requirements

Advocacy and Networking:

  • Represent TRDP at district-level meetings, forums, and networks to advocate for the rights and needs of the communities we serve.
  • Coordinate the water, sanitation, and hygiene component of the Project and maintain overall responsibility for oversight of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) activities.
  • Perform any other official task assigned by the Supervisor/Management.

 

  1. Knowledge, Skills & Behavior
  • Knowledge of civil work and WASH activities.
  • Proven experience in project management, community development, or related fields, preferably in Sindh Province.
  • Proficient in Microsoft.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the local culture, language, and socio-economic context of Sindh Province.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and challenging environment.
  • Fluency in Sindhi is highly desirable.
